October 11st(Monday) is federal holiday, and plan to fly to San Francisco, CA in the morning on October 9th(Saturday), and stayed there for two nights, and be back to Washington DC by evening on October 11st.
But I could not make the decision till early October, is the round ticket still available only one week before October 9th? Probably how much does it cost?

I just checked Southwest and they have outgoing to SF at $154 and $189 and coming back at $207 to $245 plus fees and taxes of about $75. They are one and 2 stops.
Orbitz has a flight available right now for $324 including tax by U.S. Airways.
A little investigation on your part can find these and others too.
