Is it possible to bring a duckling from Mexico to USA in a plane?

well i came to Mexico for a vacation and i bought a duckling here. I was wondering if they allow you to bring it to USA?
You can take it over to the Us. But its expensive, we took our poodle over seas, from US to PL. The certification is expensive, you have to get it checked by a vet, and theres a whole bunch of other crap that you need to do. I doubt they will let you carry your duckling on as a carry on because of allergies and such, but when your duckling isnt in the plane with you, it may suffer a heart attack, or just die.
Live Animals and Birds

Live animals and birds may enter the United States subject to certification, certain permits, inspection, and quarantine rules that vary greatly with the type of animal and its origin. Pet birds purchased abroad for personal use may enter, subject to restrictions by some state departments of agriculture.

For general information and permit application, contact APHIS/ NCIE at (301) 734-0841 or. In addition, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) regulates importation of certain animal species. Importation of animals for scientific or exhibition purposes is strictly controlled through a registration process. Contact the CDC in Atlanta, GA., at (404) 639-8107 or visit National Center for Infectious Diseases - Traveler
