Is stuff cheaper in the US or in Mexico?

I am going to Mexico, and I was thinking of buying some things. I do not know whether it would be cheaper here or their though. I know it is in pesos, and that about 12-13 pesos is one dollor. But whould something usaly 5 dollars here be 60 peso
